Hello I'm Emmanuel, I'm from Mexico

The article a is used when a world stars with a consonant..
the second one (an) when the world starts with a vowel.

Example: I have a car
I have an apple
the world "the" is used to "point out" any objects or people
Ex. The ball is red
The children are playing...
The teacher is good

those are the basics uses of each one..

regards
