Christmas Down Under

In Australia and New Zealand Christmas is in the middle of summer. So often Christmas dinner is eaten on the beach, where you can go for a swim in between.

In Melbourne, Australia there is a very special Christmas tradition: Carols by Candlelight. On Christmas Eve, thousands of people meet in the city to sing their favourite Christmas Carols. Everybody brings along a candle, so the place becomes a sea of candlelight.
