History of ego4u
| 2000 | with our own teaching materials developed for English courses at an evening school, we originated the idea of offering online exercises on the web. |
| August 2001 | we started www.ego4u.de with approx. 5 exercises |
| May 2002 | ego4u receives a prize as one of the 100 best ideas for entrepreneurship at the German competition "Gründerwettbewerb Multimedia 2001" (organised by the German Ministry of Economics and Technology) |
| Spring 2002 | Lots of students use our services at school and at home; also more and more adults visit our pages to improve their English (approx. 1,700 unique users per day). From our visitors' feedback, we learn that our free explanations, exercises and support in the Babelboard has helped lots of students to improve their English. |
| Summer 2002 | In a survey on ego4u we find out that our visitors want more than just grammar explanations and exercises. They are as well interested in games and texts on English cultures. Besides, our visitors want more detailed explanations and exercises for different levels of English. |
| December 2002 | We have at least one exercise on every aspect of English grammar. Together with the English teacher Jörg Pöhland from englisch-hilfen.de, we are developing a new concept for ego4u. |
| May 2003 | Test version for the new ego4u is online - the feedback from our visitors (especially from students, parents and teachers) is absolutely positive. |
| July 2003 | New version of ego4u is officially online as ego4u.de (approx. 5,000 visitors per day) |
