Pantomime
A pantomime (or panto) is a play which is shown at theatres around Christmas time (and at the beginning of the new year). Now don’t be afraid that everything is pantomimed. Not at all - there is a lot of action going on.
In a panto, you’ll see a famous fairytale like Cinderella or Snow White for example. Well, there are a few changes to the original story. Furthermore, there’s a lot of music and there’s always something for the audience to do – sometimes you have to warn the hero, boo the baddies or simply clap your hands or sing along etc. So, a panto really is great fun for the whole family. And you will surely recognise one or the other song from the charts.
