Rudolph
Rudolph is definitely the most famous reindeer. But he was only invented in 1939 – for a department store (Montgomery Ward). The poem of Rudolph, who was to lead Santa through the fog, was published as a book and given to the children that came to the department store. Later, the author’s brother-in-law composed a song around the poem, and so Rudolph became famous all over the world.
