ego4u (English Grammar Online For You) starts with an international version.
English Grammar Online (http://www.ego4u.com/) is already very popular among German learners of English for its wide variety of topics and its professional and userfriendly design. With approx. 4.1 million page impressions and 210,000 unique visitors per month, ego4u is the top free-of-charge EFL site in the German-speaking area.
Now, our explanations on English language (especially grammar) are not only available in German, but also in English. Our objective is to help and attract more learners of English from all over the world and build up an international community on ego4u.
How did it all start? - History of ego4u
In April 2000, the two Germans Mario (programmer and web designer) and Heike (translator German/English/Spanish) put their first exercises online. Their target group: just a handful of students to whom Heike was giving private tuition. A year later, Mario and Heike were very surprised to find that their exercises were used by approx. 20 visitors per day, who found their sites via search engines. This encouraged the two Germans to offer more exercises on the internet and in August 2001 they started ego4u. Now ego4u has approx. 7,000 users per day, lots of them are regular visitors.
